This course is for beginners or if you have some experience at sewing. What can I expect to learn? Sewing/making clothes for yourself and family Soft furnishing for your home Where to source material needed for your projects Recycling tips Health and safety within this subject area. How will I learn? There may be demonstrations, a chance to ask questions and to practice at your own pace. There are no exams or formal assessments. If you think you may need extra help with your learning, please ask your tutor or the Centre staff. We will try to help you. How will I know how well I am doing? The tutor will help you to recognise how well you are doing and what you need to do to improve. This may include developing your own learning plan. Will I have to do any work outside of the sessions? You may be given tasks or activities to complete to practice in between and prepare for the next and future sessions. You tutor will give guidance at the first session. What will I need to provide? Your tutor will discuss any further materials you may need to provide at your first session. We do encourage the recycling of materials to keep costs down to a minimum. Will there be any other costs? You may be provided with a reading list to support your learning. What can I do next? You may wish to progress onto a variety of Get Creative courses available.
