The National Dementia Strategy in 2009 and the Prime Minister's Dementia Challenge in 2012 has outlined plans to improve dementia care by improving skills and awareness to care for people with dementia. This qualification will support learners to develop their knowledge and understanding of the principles of caring for those with dementia.
