This course commences in September and runs over one year, 9.00am to 7.30pm What are the entry requirements? • Four GCSEs at grades A* to C (to include science, mathematics and English) • Appropriate knowledge and/or experience gained at work or from other related qualifications. • Level 3 in a construction related occupation/trade What qualification will I achieve? Subsidiary Diploma in Construction and the Built Environment Level 3 What will I study? All students will study the six mandatory units • Health safety and welfare in CBE • Sustainable construction • Construction technology and design in construction and civil engineering • Science and materials in CBE • Mathematics in CBE • Building technology in construction Where will I study? You will study at the STEM Centre, Old Mill Lane, BARNSLEY S70 2LA 16 – 18 year olds Full-time Barnsley College students aged 16-18 years old do not have to pay tuition fees. However, if the course is listed as full fee payable, fee waivers do not apply. 19+ Students You may be eligible for free or reduced course fees.
