How long is the course? This course runs for 40 weeks, commencing in September 2014. You may choose to study one of the following options: Tuesday 2 September 2014 10.15am – 5.00pm or Monday 1 September and Tuesday 2 September two evenings per week, 5.45pm- 9.00pm What are the entry requirements? AAT Level 3 Diploma in Accounting. What qualification will I achieve? AAT Level 4 Diploma in Accounting What will I study? • Limited Company Accounts involves preparing limited company accounts using international standards, consolidating accounts for companies and interpreting information from financial statement • Financial Performance looks at costing methods, preparing costs and analysing and interpreting information • Budgeting involves producing budgets using various methods and interpreting and reporting the information • Internal Control and Accounting Systems is a project based assignment of 4,000 words based around making changes to an accounting system You will also study two of the following: • Business Tax • Personal Tax • Auditing • Credit Management • Cash Management Following the successful completion of Level 4 you will be invited to a formal graduation ceremony held in October/November. With relevant experience approved by AAT you could also use the designatory letters MAAT. Where will I study? You will study at University Campus Barnsley, Church Street, Barnsley, S70 2AN. 19+ Students You may be eligible for free or reduced course fees. However, if the course is listed as full fee payable, fee waivers do not apply. Aged 24 or over and thinking about further education? If you’re planning to study a Level 3 or Level 4 course, you may qualify for a 24+ Advanced Learning Loan. These loans help you to pay the fees charged by approved colleges and training organisations in England.
