Access to Nursing - Group B

UPDATED 20140821 11:05:10

This Access Diploma is for those who wish to progress to one of four nursing degrees: adult nursing, childcare nursing, mental health nursing or learning disabilities nursing., Universities will expect students to have gained experience in hospitals or a relevant caring field, and will require a Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check once a place has been offered. We recommend that you organise some voluntary or paid work in the healthcare sector as soon as possible to gain experience. This is a highly competitive field so to have some care experience will help you demonstrate your understanding of the positive aspects and challenges of the career., Subjects studied include nursing studies, health psychology and human biology as well as study skills and tutorial.
