This course is unique. Nowhere else in London teaches the art of glass engraving. Glass is a brittle and transparent canvas for the artist and all types of glass are considered. Specialised engraving techniques are dealt with, such as sculptural relief work, intaglio, glass etching and stipple. The course concentrates on lettering as a priority, design principles, researching ideas and using equipment correctly. Different topics are introduced each week. This course will appeal to beginners as well as experienced engravers.
