Painting and the Imagination

Unlock your imagination and explore experimental approaches to painting. Be inspired by music, poetry, stories and other artworks in practical exercises and projects. Use a range of different methods and materials including paint, collage and mixed media to visualise your creative ideas. All levels and abilities welcome.

Entry requirements

You will be using a variety of drawing and painting materials and tools: charcoal, pencils, inks, pastels, wax crayons, acrylic paint, brushes, sponges. It is advisable to bring a mixing palette and water containers. Additional materials will be needed for specific projects e.g. collage papers and objects, textural materials. (A list of materials needed will be provided at the start of the course.) Paper and canvas will be available for purchase., Note: Materials will be provided for the first session.
