If you love clothes and have always wanted to develop your design sense, this is a good place to start. Learn how to research and refine your design ideas, draw inspiration from a range of influences and use a wide variety of materials and media to produce individual and original work. You will develop your skills and present your fashion ideas through project work using illustration, sketch book, mood and design boards. You will be encouraged to think about clothes in a fresh way and explore the use of colour, texture, proportion, etc., , This course is suitable if you are in further or higher education, hoping to work as a designer, running your own business, or if you simply want to design clothes for yourself. You will be guided through the basic stages involved in designing a small themed capsule collection and shown how to produce a portfolio to display your work. , , Each term will explore a different theme and you can take each one as a separate course or enrol on more than one to build your knowledge and skills to a more advanced level. , No previous experience is required.,
