Please bring: pencils, a small paintbrush and a sketchbook or notebook. Protective clothing is provided, or you can bring your own apron and rubber gloves. The course fee includes most studio consumables (ink, solvents etc) but you will have to pay for paper, etching plates/ lino blocks etc. These are available to buy in the department at cost price., If there is a particular piece of writing you’d like to work with, eg a poem, a novel, a scrap of language…do bring it with you too – though there will be chances to look at springboard material as the weeks go on.
