Qigong is an aspect of Chinese medicine using gentle exercises for relaxation, concentrating and calming the mind, relieving mental and physical tension and restoring ‘qi’ or vital energy. The aim of Chinese medicine is to return the body to a state of balance. Qigong exercises work on different organs and fundamental substances (qi, blood, essence) and create a harmony of yin and yang.
