Explore the relationship between music and the social, political, religious and philosophical structures and ideas within which musicians live and work. Listen to and discuss works from Haydn and Mozart in the Classical period to the Nationalists in the nineteenth century. You can take this course on its own, or as part of a three-term course covering the Middle Ages to the present day.
