Monday Printmaking: Mixed levels

Beginners, intermediate and advanced students work alongside each other in this print workshop class. Beginners will explore etching and relief printing techniques. Intermediate and advanced students will extend their printmaking knowledge through developing personal projects. All levels work alongside each other, with plenty of opportunity to share ideas and knowledge. Tutor Richard Michell has extensive knowledge as an editioning printer, specialising in etching and relief print. Join this course if you would like a thorough grounding in printmaking techniques, and the space and time to pursue your personal projects with close support from the tutor.

Entry requirements

Please bring: pencils, a small paintbrush and a sketchbook or notebook. Protective clothing is provided, or you can bring your own apron and rubber gloves. The course fee includes most studio consumables (ink, solvents etc) but you will have to pay for paper, etching plates/ lino blocks etc. These are available to buy in the department at cost price.
