Clothes Making: Beginners

For beginners or for those returning to the subject, this is a project-based course delivered over two modules, which will provide you with a thorough introduction to the general principles and skills of clothes making using a purchased pattern for a simple skirt. , , A different garment type is taught over two modules each term: autumn - skirt; spring - top; summer - trouser, each involving different adjustments and methods of construction. To achieve the learning outcomes each term, you must complete modules 1 and 2., . , Attending three terms of the course will build your knowledge and skills as you work on different garment types. Progression to Intermediate level is possible but you must have achieved competence at using patterns and making simple garments.,
