This course is designed to deepen your understanding and appreciation of film, building on the knowledge you already have. You will study how films make meaning, both through theoretical analysis and practical work. You will also study how films are produced and audiences consume them as well as messages and values that different films convey. Using a range of examples you will develop skills of observation, critical analysis and personal response. Film Studies AS and A2 provide an excellent preparation for both academic and practical higher education courses.
