In the UK, more than 7,500 beauty salons and over 5,400 hairdressing salons offer a variety of beauty treatments, and opportunities in the industry are continuously growing with the introduction of new and innovative beauty techniques and products. Employment opportunities for qualified beauty therapists exist in a range of settings including salons/beauty clinics, hospitals, leisure clubs, spas, hotels and health farms - as well as overseas on cruise ships and in holiday resorts. This Level 3 course is recognised as the industry standard that all beauty therapists are expected to achieve. It covers many specialist roles and is validated by City & Guilds (C&G). Name: C&G NVQ in Beauty Therapy Level 3 Qualification title: NVQ Diploma in Beauty Therapy - General (QCF) Qualification type: Assessment Your skills will be continuously assessed by qualified staff. A portfolio of work will be produced containing evidence of assignments for external verification. Written tests, assignments and projects produced to deadlines will form a large part of the course. Treating clients in the College’s ‘Image Academy’ commercial salons (some of which you must find yourself), will be an essential part of this course.
