Build up your knowledge and practical skills in landscape gardening and management. You learn practical horticultural skills as well as landscape and garden design, including hard landscape construction, studying plant use, knowledge and conservation, learning which plants to use and when to plant them, as well as growing plants from seeds or cuttings through to the stage when they are ready to plant. The course is a mixture of classroom-based theory and practical hands-on experience. The focus is on teaching you the skills you need to be a professional horticulturalist. You will go on a number of visits to garden centres, public parks and gardens and use the skills you develop during work experience to build up confidence and knowledge of the industry.
