This qualification is aimed at people interested in working in adult social care. You will learn the introductory knowledge and develop the professional skills and confidence necessary to work in this sector. Topics include: communication, the role of the social care worker, handling information, health and safety, safeguarding and duty of care. This is an intensive course and requires a good level of English. You will need to attend college three days per week, Monday, Wednesday and Friday. After successfully completing this course, you could progress into paid or volunteer work in adult social care. If you wish to progress onto the Health and Social Care Level 2 Diploma, you will need to have recently completed 200 hours of work experience.
