Do you enjoy practical and creative work? Have you ever thought about working within the nail industry? Would you like to work with advanced nail products such as acrylic? If the answer to these questions is yes, then this course is for you! The VTCT Level 3 Diploma in Nail Services is a specialist vocationally related qualification. This qualification will complement the knowledge, understanding and skills, gained at Level 2 and is focussed on producing highly proficient, professional Nail Technicians. This qualification will enable learners at a minimum to gain skills, knowledge and understanding required in order to perform manicure and pedicure treatments on the hands and feet to improve the condition and appearance of the skin and nails. A range of nail technology techniques including the use of gel and acrylic nail enhancement products and the application of nail art also form part of this qualification, which will equip learners with the required attributes, skills, knowledge and understanding needed to perform professional nail treatments for clients via employment or self-employment in the nail services industry. This qualification is most suited to learners who wish to advance in their profession or to become salon mangers and/or salon owners.

You will be required to undertake independent study outside of the taught sessions and practice your skills. Practical skills will be taught with use of a hand trainer at first and then progress onto working on members of your class for realistic practise. You will take part in organised visits and also assist in organising in house competitions which you can observe if you are not an entrant. These experiences give you the chance to work with different clients and are a useful preparation for employment.
