The course is designed for mature students over the age of 19 who have been out of full time education for one or more years and who would like to go on to university but lack the formal qualifications needed to gain entry. A variety of modules are studied throughout the year and we also focus on developing the independence required for success in Higher Education. You will also have the opportunity to gain GCSE equivalent qualifications in English and Maths if these are needed for university entry. In addition to the different subject modules you will complete a study skills component which includes an extended independent research project as well as having the support of a tutor in timetabled tutorial sessions. Over 90% of our learners who complete the course successfully progress onto a wide variety of university courses throughout the UK.
