This apprenticeship includes the Certificate in Supporting Teaching & Learning in Schools L2, delivered alongside L2 English & L1 Math Functional Skills (exemptions may apply), Employment Rights & Responsibilities' (ERR) and Personal Learning Thinking Skills (PLTS). The Level 2 Intermediate Apprenticeship is applicable to learning support staff whose responsibilities at work are closely supervised. The framework provides training for the roles of teaching, classroom and learning support assistant; special needs assistant; behaviour support assistant/coordinator; pastoral/welfare assistant; foundation stage assistant or team leader.
