Safe Use of an Automated External Defibrillator

This 3 hour course is suitable for those who have a specific responsibility at work, or in voluntary and community activities, to use an AED when dealing with an emergency situation. Course Outline: •Be able to demonstrate CPR •Be able to demonstrate the safe use of an AED •Describe the differences when using an AED on a child •Identify the safety considerations when using an AED This is a 3 hour course and certificates are valid for a period of 1 year, within which time the candidate will need to re-take the course and the assessment in order to remain qualified. Candidates attending the course will be assessed by the tutor throughout the session.
