This programme is ideally suited to anyone who is interested in making films, telling stories, and engaging an audience with creative moving image. The work is varied covering all genres of production, highly creative and produced to broadcast standards, preparing graduates for the rigours and challenges of the creative industries. In your first year you will explore The practical processes of filming, camera, lighting, sound, editing etc. including 16mm film The creation and visual documentation of a short dramatic scene How to write a script and take it from concept to production How to work with a client to produce a solution to a live brief How the creative industries work. Visual Culture Studies In your second year you will develop: Your own creative practice and processes Work to commercial briefs A specialist project to showcase your work and skills How you might fit into the creative industries and its specialist roles Visual Culture Theory In your third year you will produce: A final project Work for competitions and live industry briefs Portfolios that span traditional and social media routes Gallery exhibition Dissertation
