It is ideal for those with limited practical experience of managing a project to prepare for the APM Introductory Certificate. Areas covered: What is a project? What is 'business as usual'? What is a business case? What is the project context? What is a stakeholder? Role of project manager; Role of project sponsor; Role project team member; Role of a user; Team work; Conflict Management; What is project management? What is a project management plan? What are project lifecycles? They are not covered to the same level as the Certificate course as this is a preliminary course+ Be familiar enough with the theories and practice of project management to enrol in the APM Introductory Certificate course.
