This one year full-time programme is aimed at learners aged 16-18 and 19+ who wish to progress from their existing Level 2 programme to Level 3. The programme aims to develop broad based electrical installation skills alongside knowledge of the electrical contracting sector. The programme also provides the necessary maths, english and work skills to enable the learner to successfully progress into an apprenticeship. The course includes a blend of practical and theory units designed to develop the learners skills in: Installing electrical equipment Domestic and commercial rewiring In addition to studying functional skills in maths and English (for those who have not achieved an appropriate level during their first year), students will also engage in a programme of work experience. The course provides learners with access to a state of the art workshops and equipment that replicates a realistic work environment. This, coupled with work experience opportunities, provides learners with the confidence to demonstrate and practice skills in a broad range of contexts.
