The course is designed to prepare candidates for employment in the airline industry as cabin crew or ground staff, or for a tour operator as an overseas resort representative. Covering a wide range of topics the course offers an insight into various areas of the travel industry. This is a Level 3 programme which also includes a Level 2 Introduction to Cabin Crew qualification. The programme includes all aspects and responsibilities of being a resort representative and part of a cabin crew. You will: Build the skills and confidence needed for public speaking Learn about customer service supervision Learn about promotion and marketing within the tourism sector Learn about worldwide travel destinations and tourist attractions, as well as planning travel arrangements on behalf of independent travellers, those purchasing a special interest package holiday and those interested in adventure tourism There are various visits to airports, exhibitions and guest speakers to enhance the learning experience. Previous groups have visited East Midlands Airport, Monarch Training Centre, the World Travel Market and overseas residential trips to Italy and other European destinations. Loughborough College has formed a partnership with Europe's largest airport ground handling agent, Servisair. Students may have the opportunity to train to the high level which Servisair require, with the possibility of seasonal employment at East Midlands Airport.
