This course provides an educational route for students progressing from a Foundation Degree in Sports Science with Sports Development and Management. Aiming to further extend your professional knowledge and academic skills, a BSc Applied Sports Science Management will develop your expertise and prepare you for direct entry into higher level employment. Studying a range of core and optional modules, this course has been developed to allow for students to create a learning programme that is specific to their individual interests and academic requirements. Students enrolled on this course will have the option to conduct an individual research project which includes a significant amount of independent work in a selected area of study. Regular group work and research are key features of this programme and you will gain the communication, teamwork and analytical skills needed to enhance your future employability. During this one year programme, you will also have the opportunity to volunteer within a range of sports science and management internships with local/university sports teams, sporting partners and businesses. These experiences will enable you to gain valuable skills for your transition into employment or post-graduate studies and will help to inform your studies at College. TStudents have the opportunity to apply to present their research at the annual Student BASES Conference.
