CIEH Level 2 Award in Food Safety and Catering

The CIEH Level 2 Award in Food Safety and Catering course provides a solid introduction to food safety and incorporates the fundamentals of good food hygiene practice. Successful candidates will be awarded a Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate from the Charted Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH). Levels 3 and 4 build on this initial qualification. This course is aimed at anyone working in a catering, manufacturing or retail setting where food is prepared, cooked and handled. This course will give you a firm grasp of the importance of food safety and knowledge of the systems, techniques and procedures involved, and will cover the following topics: Food Poisoning and Bacteriology Prevention of Contamination and Food Poisoning Personal Hygiene Premises, Equipment and Pest Control Cleaning and Disinfection, Legislation Assessment is an hour long multiple choice examination. Everyone who works with food has a special responsibility for safeguarding the health of consumers and ensuring that the food they serve or sell is perfectly safe to eat. Having completed this course you will be able to take your qualification with you into employment, where it will prove to be invaluable, and will give you the confidence and expertise to safely deliver quality food to customers.
