This course can be tailored for those wishing to study food safety in catering, manufacturing or retail. This course is designed for supervisors, team leaders, quality management/assurance personnel and managers of small food businesses. Completion of this course will enable candidates to take an active part of monitoring food hygiene standards, training activities and supervision for food handlers. Candidates will be able to carry out hygiene audits, assist in hazard analysis and formulation and writing of hygiene policies. Training providers have identified a growing need to make learning more relevant to specific business environments to increase effectiveness. This new qualification is required to address new National Occupational Standards reflecting sector-specific needs. In line with this demand, the CIEH Level 3 Awards in Food Safety have been designed to address the food safety needs of the catering, manufacturing and retail sectors. ERROR The course is certified by the CIEH and assessment is by multiple choice examinations lasting approximately two hours on the last day of the training in the chosen area; catering, manufacturing or retail.
