The CIEH Level 2 Award in Food Safety and Catering course provides a solid introduction to food safety and incorporates the fundamentals of good food hygiene practice. Successful candidates will be awarded a Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate from the Charted Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH). Levels 3 and 4 build on this initial qualification. This course is aimed at anyone working in a catering, manufacturing or retail setting where food is prepared, cooked and handled. This course will give you a firm grasp of the importance of food safety and knowledge of the systems, techniques and procedures involved, and will cover the following topics: Food Poisoning and Bacteriology Prevention of Contamination and Food Poisoning Personal Hygiene Premises, Equipment and Pest Control Cleaning and Disinfection, Legislation Assessment is an hour long multiple choice examination.
