Level 2 BTEC Diploma Land-based Mechanisation

This course provides you with a comprehensive introduction to a wide range of machinery and workshop practices and gain an awareness of what the industry involves. It is extremely popular with school leavers who wish to combine a practical based training programme with sound theoretical knowledge. The course is designed to give you a broad understanding of the subject, with a view to progressing to one of our Level 3 Diploma courses, or to start work in the Landbased Mechanisation industry. Machinery construction, operation, maintenance and repair are also included, to enable students to carry out a wide range of fundamental workshop tasks. You will undertake a small series of written and practical assignments as well as learning the basic science and IT used in the mechanised operations. The course is mainly practical based. Possible Careers / Jobs are Training in the Machinery Industry, Stores Person, Trainee Sales Person, Trainee Service Engineer.
