The BTEC Diploma in Sport is a practical work related qualification which provides you with knowledge and skills in different areas of sport and is made of up of 7 units which include: - Fitness Testing & Training - Practical Sport - Anatomy & Physiology in Sport - Technical Skills & Tactical Skills for Sport - Planning & Leading Sports Activities - Injury in Sport - Planning & Running a Sports Event (These are subject to review) The course is designed to equip you with the knowledge, understanding and practical skills required for success in future employment in sports and related industries through teaching and learning using realistic workplace-related situation and activities. This course allows access to the Academy of Sport and also provides opportunities for additional short courses and volunteering in sports. There may also be an opportunity to gain additional qualifications including the Sports Leaders Award.
