'BTEC National in Health & Social Care - Level 3 is a full time course that is up to 2 years. During this time you will study both core units and specialist units that total 1080 guided learning hours. You are also expected to complete placement time in a variety of settings, the first of which is always in an elderly residential setting. You are required to negotiate placement arrangements with Professional Practice tutors. Work placements will be on at least one day each week plus a number of 2 week blocks. As part of your programme you may also complete: - First Aid at Work - Basic Food Hygiene As part of your course you will have a tutorial period which is designed to support your learning and assist your progress. In addition there are other activities to enrich your experience.
