HND in Creative Media Production - Level 5

You£ll work both individually and as a member of a creative team to produce professional quality media products such as TV programmes, short films, and radio programmes . You£ll work in our own working TV and radio stations using broadcast equipment and use professional video editing software such as Final Cut. You will use both PCs and Apple Macs and have access to a variety of software programmes. You will also have the opportunity to work on community media projects as well as in house briefs. You£ll be encouraged to enter local and national competitions for film and radio During the year a variety of media professionals will be invited into college to share their media experiences with you. The college will provide you with the media equipment you will need and you will use professional level software on the college£s computer system. You will complete 16 units over the two years which will include: - Video Production - Radio Production - TV Production - Radio Station Management - Contextual Studies - Special Subject Investigation

Name: HND in Creative Media Production - Level 5 Qualification title: BTEC HND Diploma in Creative Media Production (QCF) Qualification type: Assessment You£ll be assessed through your practical and written work via coursework assignments- using media equipment and software and producing professional written media documentation showing the media process from conception to completion. We have a bureau TV studio and radio studio from where we broadcast Wiggle (our community radio station). HNC/D students will be encouraged to manage the station for college credit.
