You will cover basic hair and beauty techniques and experience working in a salon. It will give you an introduction to working with hairdressers and beauty therapists. You will also complete Functional Skills for Mathematics and English. This course will offer you an opportunity to develop some hair and beauty skills before making a definite career choice. The method of learning is through a mixture of theory and practical sessions. The units you will study include: - Manicure, Make-up and Skin Care - Shampooing, Styling and Basic Colouring - Functional Skills - Employability After successful completion of this course you could progress to VRQ Level 2 in Hairdressing or Beauty Therapy.
