Study the textiles of artist and designers and learn about patterns, motifs, colour and textures and how to develop these into fashion and textile designs. Young people aged 16-18. AS LevelThis course encourages experimentation and you will learn how to research, develop your own designs and create final pieces. You will gain a wide range of specialist textiles skills and produce dyed, printed and constructed textiles samples. Visits to museums and galleries will inspire you and develop your knowledge and understanding of fashion and textiles.A2 LevelYou will be encouraged to develop a personal response, which results in the rich diversity of approaches on the course and ambitious final outcomes. Students enjoy choosing their own area of study and employing the skills they have learnt in the AS year to specialise and develop their independent projects. A supportive, creative environment will nurture your individual talents and prepare you well for Higher Education.
