This course ia about working as a Counsellor using the Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) approach. This qualification is intended for candidates who want to work to develop CBT skills and theory as an integral part of their counselling work The Learning outcomes for this course are as follows: Work safely, legally, and ethically as a counsellor using the CBT approach; use the CBT framework to structure the therapeutic relationship;Integrate understanding of diversity in CBT work;use a coherent CBT approach to work with individual clients and thier needs;Work with self awareness as a counsellor using the CBT approach;Use CBT theory, reserach and techniques coherently within counselling work and monitor and maintain professional effectiveness as a counsellor using the CBT approach. To achieve these outcomes the candidates will produce a portfolio of evidence and an externally assessed case review (3000-3500 words)
