BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Performing Arts (Dance)

This course develops students as dancers, choreographers and performers in a variety of styles, including contemporary, jazz, physical theatre and ballet. This course is for young people aged 16-18, who wish to pursue a career in the performing arts as a professional dancer or choreographer. The course also provides a pathway into musical theatre, drama, physical theatre and the creative industries. You will study different aspects of dance including contemporary dance, ballet, jazz dance, choreography, physical theatre, movement, performing arts in context and the performing arts business. The course also covers the history of dance and the performing arts industry. Dance performance is a major part of the course, with the chance to perform in the College theatre and a range of external venues.
