Intermediate Apprenticeship in IT & Telecoms

The course will provide the Apprentice with basic accounting skills. The Apprenticeship units in the NVQ Level 2 will cover: Preparing Ledger Balances; Initial Trial Balances; Supplying Information for Management Control; Recording Income and Receipts; Making and recording payments. The Advanced Apprenticeship units in NVQ Level 3 will cover: -Maintaining Financial Records and Preparing Accounts -Recording and Evaluating Costs and Revenues -Preparing Reports and Returns.

Entry requirements

Accounts Apprentices will attend Highbury Campus for the taught element of their programme. Apprentices can choose to attend a 2pm-9pm session one day a week or 6pm-9pm two evenings a week. The rest of the time will be spent learning on the job with their employer. Apprentices will build a portfolio of work and have on-site visits to observe their ability and skills in their daily role. Both the Apprenticeship and Advanced Apprenticeship take approximately one year to complete.
