This course has been designed to support learners into an Apprenticeship programme. The course will comprise of three months full-time at college where you will study and gain experience in the basic skills in the preparation, cooking and service of food and prepare you for entry into employment. The remainder of the course will be working with an employer to develop work-based skills along with one day a week attending college for further tuition and assessment. Throughout the year there are a variety of events such as gala dinners, master classes and guest speakers from local and national employers. You will also develop the required employability skills and begin networking to develop your future career within the industry. Successful completion of the course enables progression onto an Advanced Apprenticeship at Level 3.
