The Level 4 HNC in Music Management is a bespoke course designed to develop the skills required within the area of artist management in music. The vocationally focussed delivery of the course, including the opportunity to create a role and work with artists within the College’s own music production company ensures a practical hands-on approach to learning. In addition the course fosters a comprehensive understanding of the workings of the music industry as well as important business skills such as financial management and marketing techniques. The more motivated and entrepreneurially minded will find many opportunities at the College to develop management skills in a vibrant music department with a calendar bursting with performance events and recording projects. HNC Music Management students will also attend master classes and workshops that draw on the College’s excellent industry links. Over the past few years these have included Matt Woolliscroft from SJM promotions; Steve Cheney, Glastonbury stage manager; Paul Crockford, Artist Manager for Mark Knopfler; Pete Spiby, frontman with Black Spiders and manager of 65 Days of Static as well as a wealth of top performers.
