ITQ1 is for individuals who would like to gain computer skills in how to use Word to put CV and covering letters together and use Excel at basic level. Units covered are Word Processing using Microsoft Word Level 1 The Word Processing Unit will enable a learner to use a range of basic word processing software tools and techniques to produce appropriate documents such as, letters, envelopes, memos, simple reports, faxes CVs, agendas, posters, travel directions and simple web pages. Spreadsheets Level using Microsoft Excel level 1 The learner will develop their knowledge through the use of tools, formulas and functions commonly used. Usage of calculating tools such as sum, divide, multiply, subtract and fractions will be explored by creating relevant spreadsheets. Using the Computer and Managing Files using Windows XP Level 1 Among other tasks, candidates will learn to operate effectively within the desktop environment and how to manage and organise files, folders and shortcuts Security for IT users Level 1 This module allows candidates to understand the main concepts of security for IT users which will enable them to use email and Internet safely; understand network security and secure data and pc system. Qdos will provide learners with academic reference/recommendation and will seek to find work placements/vacancies for our learners. All travel is reimbursed to and from the centre
