This course is ideal for learners who have some experience as a teaching assistant or in a school environment with children. Suitable for those who want to work as teaching assistants, support assistants or mentors; and will give a full understanding of skills and knowledge for these roles. This course is available as an apprenticeship. The Childcare Company specialises in online training for childcare professionals. All our learners train using our award-winning extended online learning programme, the Laser. Our system works by pairing each learner with one of our professional tutors, all of which have a wealth of experience in the childcare sector. The learner’s tutor will commit to weekly contact as well as monthly teaching sessions. Tutors are also available by phone, email and Skype if the learner requires it. Learners are given secure, personal access to their Laser teaching and learning programme, which also doubles as their e-portfolio. They can use this to view the lessons for each of their learning outcomes, to contact their tutor, upload their work or pursue extended learning to increase their knowledge beyond the expectations of their chosen qualification.
