The Health and Social Care level 2 Diploma is offered as a stand alone programme but also as part of the Intermediate Apprenticeship programme. It is for new and inexperienced individuals working in the social care sector. An apprenticeship is a work-based training programme designed around the needs of employers, which lead to national recognised qualifications. You can use Apprenticeships to train both new and existing employees. Funding is available to train apprentices. Apprenticeships include: A QCF Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care A BTEC Level 2 Certificate in Preparing to Work in the health and social care sector A level 2 award in Employment Rights and Responsibilities Level 1 functional skills english and maths Level 2 Intermediate Apprenticeships are equivalent to 5 GCSEs
