This course is designed for everyone over 50 with an interest in communicating online with friends, family and contacts Learners need enthusiasm to learn and a notebook to take notes to practice at home. Participants will learn how to use the internet safely and access lots of free websites offering information and advice and images. Learners will gain confidence in using the internet safely and securely and be able to use new found skills at home. After this course learners can progress onto further learning courses and utilise gained knowledge in their ever day life. The well equipped computer suite at Age UK Sunderland offers learners the opportunity to learn in a safe, warm environment which is conducive to learning. Learners can adjust seating and environment to their own personal needs. Facilities include touch screen and voice activated pc’s, adaptive trackballs and high visibility keyboards as well as screen reader software to enable all learners regardless of ability to continue their learning journey.
