Spanish AS/A Level is an option for students who have studied the language at GCSE, or have experience such as a Spanish- speaking parent or living in Spain or South America and wish to study the language to a higher level. You will develop skills in writing, in particular the conversational use of the language. Topics may include media, popular culture, family relationships, healthy living, studies and work. Tourism, pollution and climate change, contemporary social issues, new technologies and the multi-cultural society may also be covered. Latin-America – history and arts, as well as the Spanish political evolution. This course works well alongside other languages but can fit with a large number of other subject areas.
