FT 15/16 Social Science Access to Higher Education (HE) Diploma

The Ruskin College Access to HE Diploma will cover an introduction to social work and to youth and community work. The course includes Social Studies, Sociology, Issues of Race, Gender and Class, Applied Psychology and Research Methods. The Diploma allows individuals to progress to careers in related elds or to stay at Ruskin and study for a Degree. The programme is oered on a full-time basis over one academic year. The Ruskin College Access to HE Diploma oers the opportunity to begin studying for a career in social work, youth and community work, counselling, education in the voluntary sector or other professional settings. An Access to HE Diploma is accepted for entry on to degree courses by the majority of UK universities and colleges.
