This is a two year course aimed at those with a genuine interest and commitment to dancing. The course includes classes in technique, choreography and performance skills along with the theoretical study of professional dance practitioners and professional works. Theory work is underpinned by a practical exploration. All formal assessments are in your second year of study. Your practical exam includes a performance in a solo and a quartet along with group work which you will choreograph. The theory exam explores the study of Rambert Dance Company between 1966 - 2002 and the Independent Contemporary Dance Scene in Britain 2000 – current. This course works well with other performance- based subjects, but can be combined with a number of areas.
