Thanks to a successful partnership between Reaseheath's Equestrian Centre and Croft End Equestrian Centre, serious equine students have the chance to study in Lancashire. Croft End is a highly professional and successful training centre and riding school near Oldham. Like Reaseheath, Croft End prides itself on turning out students with the skills and knowledge required by employers. There is a higher practical content on this course including 3 riding units and the opportunity to study a teaching unit in the second year (subject to assessment). There is an emphasis on rider fitness and development, including weekly sessions on our mechanical horse and participating in fitness sessions aimed specifically at the rider. The course will provide a sound basis for higher education as well as a range of skills desired by employers in the equine industry. The Business route is ideal for learners who have a keen interest in the equine industry and an aspiration to work in the business and event management, science or retail sectors. Learners will have the opportunity to receive a riding lesson each week as part of their development. The course covers a range of topics both practical and theory based and is intended to provide a depth and breadth of knowledge in a range of subject. You will have the opportunity to participate in national and international events, which will provide you with valuable experience and networking opportunities. The course will provide a sound basis for higher education as well as a range of skills desired by employers in the equine industry. There are options on this course to take more advanced science options and an investigate project to help to prepare learners for an academic career.
