This is a short course during which you will learn how to use a sewing machine develop various dressmaking skills and use a commercial pattern to make a garment of your own choice. The emphasis is on you developing practical skills and techniques that will help you in all aspects of making creating and repairing clothes and soft-furnishings. We start by looking at the development of basic skills needed in dressmaking and progress to applying these skills and techniques in the creation of a garment of your choice.
