Who is this course for? Adults who need to learn or extend their knowledge & skills in computing What will I learn on this course? Usually attend once a week for 10 weeks though this may differ according to the Centre. There is a mixture of group work and individual work on the PC, supported by a tutor. Independent learning and peer teaching are encouraged How will I learn? The content of the course is based on the needs and interests of the group choosing from the Internet and a range of computer applications e.g. word processing, PowerPoint, spreadsheets, using digital cameras, smartphones, etc. What qualifications will I gain? None, but you will receive a Manchester Adult Education Service certificate. What could this course lead to? Another ICT course, or another type of course, in MAES or another provider Can I join anytime? You can join after a course has started if there is space.
